QUESTION 7 OF 10 · AUGUST 2026 · KUVEX TEAM

Why the best terminal is the one your server drives

Create a payment. The machine lights up. That's the whole integration.

There's a category of software that should never have to install anything to take an in-person payment: cloud POS, booking systems, self-service flows, back-office billing — anything whose brain lives on a server. For all of them, the Kuvex Cloud Terminal is the shortest possible path from code to card.

The whole flow

Your server posts a payment with a terminal ID and an amount. The terminal on the counter lights up. The customer taps, inserts or swipes. The receipt prints from the built-in printer. Your server gets a webhook; your front end, if you want the live moment, gets a WebSocket event. Card data never touches your systems.

The terminal itself is deliberately simple: a standalone unit, operable on its own screen, with no third-party apps running on it. That restraint is a feature — it's what keeps the device secure, certifiable and utterly predictable, which are the only qualities that matter in the box that takes the money.

We already run this pattern in production: desktop software driving a countertop terminal entirely through the cloud, with the terminal presenting a complete customer-facing interface on its own. It works because there's nothing on the client side to break.
